We received a delivery from PediaSure for our young man while back.
He loves surprises and when he saw what was in the box from PediaSure he was beyond excited. Why? Only because he now has his own shaker like his dads.
I had not heard about PediaSure until this box arrived. Reading up, it seems pretty similar to the shakes hubby and I have for breakfast.
PediaSure Complete contains the nutrients children need to become healthy and strong, especially if they are fussy eaters. The nutrition value the shakes contain are vitamins, minerals, the essential Omega 3 and Fatty Acids, Iron that supports their growth. You can read up more here.
One glass of PediaSure Complete has the same individual nutrients for example:
- the amount of Potassium a small banana
- the amount of Zinc a cup and a half of yoghurt
- the amount of calcium as a 230ml of milk
We decided to try the shake with our son for breakfast.
190ml water + 5 Scoops
shake it well
Our young man loved it! For once he didn’t complain about still being hungry after finishing his breakfast.
As parents, we are definitely happy that he enjoyed it, but more importantly that the shake is also providing our growing son with a healthy nutritious alternative to oats or toast in the morning. We also have tried mixing a few scoops of PediaSure with his morning Milo as an alternative to just the shake and it works well!
PediaSure comes in two flavours, Vanilla and Chocolate. Our pack came with Vanilla and it tastes just like the shakes I enjoy. If you’re keen to try it out, Dischem and Clicks are a great starting point, price range from R200 to 250 for an 850g tin.
Overall, the shake is a great healthy replacement meal for our growing boy who from time to time can be fussy about his what he wants to eat.
